Kristin Lloyd is a harpist from Nashville, Tennessee. She is currently pursuing her Master's of Music Performance in harp at the University of Michigan, under the instruction of Joan Holland. Ms. Lloyd received her Bachelor's Degree in Harp Performance from the prestigious Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, where she studied with Ms. Paula Page, the principal harpist of the Houston Symphony.

Ms. Lloyd has extensive orchestral experience, including conservatory and professional orchestras. She is presently the principal harpist for the Michigan University Symphony Orchestra. During her undergraduate studies, she was involved in the Shepherd School Symphony, Chamber, and Opera Orchestras. Beyond that, she has attended many summer music programs, including Sewanee Summer Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, Eastern Music Festival, and Round Top Festival Institute. For several of these summers, her study was subsidized by scholarships awarded by the Nashville Symphony Guild. Additionally, she has played harp for the Michigan Pops Orchestra, the Detroit Civic, the Owensboro Symphony, the Woodland Symphony, and musical productions for the Hobby Center in Houston.

Along with her orchestral pursuits, Kristin has performed as a freelance harpist for a variety of events and settings, such as the Houston Grand Opera Ball with Divisi Strings and pre-concert music at the Schermerhorn Center, as well as special events such as weddings and parties. She is also well-versed in chamber music repertoire, which she performs with both her university colleagues and her family members who are professional string players. She enjoys teaching harp students and doing music outreach events.
