She has performed in a wide array of orchestral, solo, and chamber music concerts, and is actively engaged in music outreach and education.  She has played with the Oakland Symphony, the Merced Symphony, the Stockton Symphony, Symphony Napa Valley, the Modesto Symphony, and West Edge Opera. Kristin is an advocate of new music and has performed with several chamber music ensembles with a contemporary focus, including the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, Eco Ensemble, the San Jose Chamber Orchestra, the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, Mercury Soul and One Found Sound. In addition to live performance, she has recorded for a number of films and albums.

Kristin received her Bachelor of Music degree, Magna cum Laude, from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, where she studied with Ms. Paula Page. Then, she completed her Master of Music Performance degree in harp at the University of Michigan, under the instruction of Joan Holland. During her time at the University of Michigan, Kristin was the graduate assistant to the harp studio. After finishing her graduate degree, Ms. Lloyd moved to California to take part in the Orchestra Institute Napa Valley Fellowship. Through this program, she was an artist-in-residence and adjunct harp professor at Pacific Union College. She also taught at an Artful Learning elementary school and an El Sistema program in Napa. Kristin currently has her own private harp studio and teaches at Harps, Etc in Walnut Creek.

Committed to social justice and community involvement, Kristin has designed and taught music outreach programs for middle school-aged refugee students through PAIR and Catholic Charities. Additionally, she has performed in settings such as hospitals, temporary housing shelters, and retirement homes for groups that might not otherwise have access to live classical music.
